This award will be given to the pizza restaurant chain (a business with more than 10 restaurant sites) which the judges consider to have done the most in the last year to develop their business and which sets a standard for others to follow. For the purposes of the awards, a pizza restaurant is defined as one where pizza forms the main focus of the business.

This award aims to encourage new product development in the pizza market by rewarding those who are striving to develop the market through innovation and recipe development. This category is open to any product launched within the 12 month qualifying period from 1st September 2015 to 31st August 2016 and which is still on sale at the time of judging.
